Several retailers lowered the price on the handheld system before the official cut today and some, such as Best Buy, are offering price matching for 3DS systems bought prior to the price drop.

We’ll get more concrete details when the full issue is released. But for now its nice to have confirmation that the game is coming to the 3DS.

I can’t say that it’s entirely out of the realm of possibility that some Capcom character could appear in the next Smash Bros.

There is a possibility of it might not happening:

The big problem, though, comes from the idea of trying to get characters from a completely different universe to fit with the style that has been dictated by Nintendo’s characters in a fighting game.

I don't see how that could be a problem.  They got pikachu and other non original Smash Brothers in the game.  This shouldn't be too hard to do for them, but I digress.  With Mega Man Legends 3 in development and Mega Man content coming to the Virtual Console very shortly, it does make sense that Mega Man could be in the next Smash Brothers game.  Which Capcom character do you think it will be?

I think if you give people enough reasons to buy, eventually they will. We’re not too concerned about the long term viability of the platform. If we give them good enough content. I’ll keep coming back to the games, and we’ve got the experiences that will appeal. We certainly wouldn’t change our strategy or our approach based on what a competitor is doing. We will continue to innovate… and encourage our third party developers to take advantage of the system.

Nintendo is playing is strong and ignoring there competitors.  I would be surprised if they don't plan for a price drop early in preparation for the launch of the Playstaion Vita
